Djoona Cultural Tour

Journey along the picturesque foreshore of the Derbarl Yerrigan (Swan River) and discover the rich cultural, environmental, and historical significance of Buryulup. This guided cultural eco walking tour offers an opportunity to connect with Country, explore local ecosystems, and gain insight into both the traditional Noongar way of life and the shared history of South Perth.

Led through an authentic and engaging experience, participants will learn about Noongar culture, language, seasonal knowledge, native plants and wildlife, while reflecting on the area's colonial history and its ongoing journey of reconciliation and healing.

Along the way, discover how the river, wetlands, flora, and fauna have sustained people for thousands of years and continue to play an important role in the local environment today.
